Here's How Sharon Stone Makes 60 Look Like 30

"I choose to get older. Growing older is my goal."

Sharon Stone, 60, has been in the news a lot lately, especially after her priceless reaction to being asked if she'd ever experienced sexual harassment in Hollywood went wildly viral. She's making a triumphant return to the movie business with a starring role in Steven Soderbergh's HBO six-part series "Mosaic," in which she plays a popular children's book author who mysteriously disappears in a small town.

In 2001, Stone suffered a massive brain hemorrhage that left her bleeding in the hospital for nine days. Despite the low chance of survival, Stone pulled through, but she had to spend two years learning how to walk and talk again. Her health issues make it all the more impressive that she looks as incredible as she does, having just celebrated her 60th birthday on March 10th. Read on for some of her secrets. And for more tips from ageless wonders, Here's How Jane Fonda Turns Back the Clock.

1
A Good Attitude

Jane Fonda, 80, another ageless wonder, said that maintaining a positive attitude is the number one thing that keeps you young, and Stone couldn't agree more. Stone told Variety that her brain hemorrhage gave her a new appreciated for aging because she now knows "what the alternative to growing older is."

"I actually find aging a benefit," she said. "I don't choose to make growing older a negative. I choose to get older. Growing older is my goal." And for more amazing advice, don't miss the 15 Body Positive Affirmations That Actually Work.

A Consistent Skincare Routine

Like Fonda, Stone doesn't use a lot of products on her skin, but she benefits from following a ritual religiously throughout the years.  "I don't do much in the morning," she told The New York Times. "I wash my face with water and brush my teeth….After the shower, I like Shiseido body lotion. On my face it depends on the weather. If I'm in a dry climate, I use the Weleda Skin Food on my body and face. Or I use La Mer or the Neutrogena with SPF 15 sunblock. I also use Eucerin, which is a really good, easy-to-get product. And Avon's Rich Moisture cream is a good product that has never gone bad on me."

Good Diet and Exercise

Sadly, there are no shortcuts to looking great, and just like JLo, Stone's glowing appearance is largely due to the fact that she takes good care of herself.

"I don't eat processed food," she told The New York Times. "I don't drink caffeine, and very rarely will have a soda or alcohol." Because she has celiac disease, she doesn't eat gluten, but she allows herself some indulgences in the form of met and dark chocolate. Of course, she also exercises, but she's "not the person who will get on a treadmill and stare at a wall." She has a Pilates machine in her house, which she uses frequently. Depending on her mood, she might go to the gym to do some circuit training, or just "put on music and dance my brains out."

Confidence

Stone looks amazing, and she knows it. "I believe there can be a movie plot where the leading hot guy who's 43 falls for me instead of the 25-year-old girl," she told Variety. "Jesus, every time I go into a Starbucks, some 20-year-old guy throws himself at me! Although it might be because he knows there's a meal at the end of it. But these young guys know the sex would be better."

5
Inner Peace

"It's important to have a philosophy or way of life or faith that keeps you balanced," she told The New York Times. "For me, that has been Buddhism. It's something that brings you back to center, and is really the key to serenity and beauty — an internal sense of form and elegance."
