David Schwimmer Confirms He's Not His Lookalike Thief in the Most Hilarious Way
Ross has an alibi!

On Tuesday, the Blackpool Police Department in England shared a Facebook post asking for help identifying a man that CCTV footage caught stealing from a local restaurant. It quickly went viral as people noticed that the thief bore a striking resemblance to Ross (played, of course, by David Schwimmer) from Friends.

Soon, the jokes started rolling in.
Perhaps he was on a break?

Especially given the hit show's theme song.
His mother warned him there'd be days like these #friendslyrics

In fact, the post got so many comments that Blackpool police got in on the joke and responded, "Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses. We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date. We're so sorry it has to be this way."
Now, Schwimmer himself has responded to the viral post in the funniest way possible:
Officers, I swear it wasn't me.
As you can see, I was in New York.
To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.#itwasntme pic.twitter.com/EDFF9dZoYR— schwim (@DavidSchwimmer) October 24, 2018
